P Chandran inaugurated the event. Eminent speakers Prof. (Retired) N. Ravichandran and Prof. Sunderavalli Narayanaswami from IIM Ahmedabad delivered the session on case-study-based analysis of the book titled ‘How Stella Saved the Farm’. More than 75 faculties from various disciplines of JG Group of Colleges took part in that program. All faculties read the specified book and came with complete preparation before the start of the event. Faculties summarized and gave their analysis of the book during the event. He started the session by taking live examples of the website which was having bugs. During the workshop students were explained about what kinds of bugs can occur during software development and how to record them in a report. The Speaker explained to the students about the importance of preparing reports during the testing process which helps in prevention of bugs for future development. In the workshop videos were shown to students to explain to them about real time bugs which can occur during and post software implementation. He also focused on types of testing, which can be manual or automated. Mr. Rana explained practically about both types of testing and also about the different tools used for testing. He guided the students about the career opportunities in the field of testing.
